I have 4 horses whose bellies are large and appetites to suit. In the past I have used plain hay nets on my round bales with huge success, but they collapse as the horse eat them and when the weather is wet. There is always some muddy hay left over in the net where the horses have been able to walk over it to try and get the best of what is left.

I have been using a Hay Hoodie under the net and it has worked fantastic. The Hay Hoodie keeps the round bale together, so it doesn’t collapse, it stays dry, and best of all I have been able to move the bale when the ground has become muddy as the Hay Hoodie has kept it in a tight round disc.

The Hay Hoodie has stood up to my horses rubbing and pawing at it and so far, it looks as good as the first day I used it. I have packed it away while there is lots of grass, taking up little more space than a show box!

I recommend Hay Hoodies to all my friends, I have already saved money in hay costs and believe it is a great investment.

We’ve been using Hay Hoodies this winter for horses and sheep, and I highly recommend them.

My horse usually wastes ALOT of hay as he plays with it and won’t eat it’s once it’s wet, the Hay Hoodie has been brilliant at reducing wastage as its kept dry, the ratchet straps keeps them really secure as the hay disappears.

I really like that I can move the bale to dryer parts of the paddock, whereas previously using metal rings meant the bales have had to stay in the one place creating a mud pit.

I have been using two Hay Hoodies for a few weeks now and am absolutely delighted with them! They are easy to use, extremely safe and highly portable. Hay waste is almost completely eliminated. The hay is protected from the weather as well as from being spoiled by horses trampling it and soiling it with their toilet habits. Genius invention!

Love my Hay Hoodie, keeps the round bales dry and together. So glad I have found a safe way to feed my horses round bales. Highly recommended.

I made my first Hay Hoodie over 10 years ago trying to find a safe and simple solution for feeding round bales. Honestly I don’t know how I would live without them now.

My property is very wet so access is limited in the winter. I put my bales out once at the start of winter, pop on their Hay Hoodies and that’s it! Each paddock gets a bale, so the hay is ready as the horses move from paddock to paddock and stays perfectly dry. Usually, I have to replace bales once throughout the winter, so I feed out twice for the entire winter! So, no muddy tracks from constantly accessing paddocks! No muddy gates from horses waiting for the hay each night! My horses are always content and not fighting over hay as they have 24/7 free access to nice dry hay.

Hay Hoodies are so must easier than feeding square bales each day, let alone carting and stacking the squares into the shed each year! Round bales are also better value for money to buy.

I also find that if I go away its easy for someone else to take care of the horses, there’s nothing for them to do other than keep an eye out.

Honestly, Hay Hoodies are a game changer they save so my time, hassle and stress.
