Combining all the benefits of a Hay Hoodie with a slow feeder net!

The slow feeder Hay Hoodie slips over the top of your bale. The slow feeder net then envelopes the sides and is tightened by a rope at the bottom.

As the bale is eaten the Hay Hoodie and the rope can be easily tightened, ensuring a perfect fit!

Made from 5mm 240ply polypropylene super soft deluxe knotless hay net.

Available in a range of Hay Hoodie and slow feeder net hole sizes.

Current net sizes available 40mm & 60mm.

40mm – a common net size to reduce wastage and enjoy slow feeding benefits.

60mm – a good net size opening to reduce wastage without greatly restricting access.

*Caution should be taken when using any type of net to feed stock. Nets can pose an entanglement issue in some circumstances.

Horses:

Nets are not recommended for horses with shoes, unless a bottom barrier is used. Headstalls or any type of headgear should also not be used in case of entanglement. Nets are also not suitable for foals, or horses where their foot size is smaller than the net size. Hay Hoodies without a net are recommended in these circumstances.

Horned stock and other species:

Nets are not suitable for horned stock due to entanglement. Ear tags can also be caught as the stock rub and may be removed. Hay Hoodies with nets are not recommended for small stock where their foot size is smaller than the net hole size. Hay Hoodies without a net are recommended in these circumstances.
